If you’ve ever thought about joining the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office…

The Time Is Now

Deputies receive competitive pay.

Experienced Patrol and Jail deputies now earn up to $96,770 a year before pay incentives.

On average, our deputies earn $128,922 a year with overtime and pay incentives.

Get paid for your law enforcement experience.

Receive up to 10 years of prior law enforcement service credit with our new Incentive Pay Program.

And that’s not all. In addition to competitive pay, deputies are eligible for a comprehensive and generous benefits package for you and your family. This includes medical, dental and vision, as well as an employer paid and funded Oregon PERS retirement and deferred compensation package.

Also, earn your degree on us with our Tuition Reimbursement Program. Already have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree?  We’ll compensate you through our Incentive Pay Program.

Plus, with our Take-Home Car Program, eligible deputies will be able to respond quickly to calls for service in their community.

Retire with paid medical benefits.

In addition to our excellent retirement and investment options, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office is one of the few agencies in Oregon to offer our members an Independent Retiree Medical Trust.

This unique and valuable benefit provides eligible retirees and their spouses with financial payments to cover health-insurance premiums prior to Medicare eligibility.

(Eligibility is available to employees with a minimum of 10 years of service retiring from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.)

Access a full year’s vacation from day one.

Whether they’re new recruits or experienced laterals, shortly after the time of hire, new employees can access their vacation bank. Those with previous experience in law enforcement are eligible to accrue even more after completing probation.
